Laura Zazzara

Laura Zazzara was born in Cagliari (Italy). She holds a degree in mathematics and has held various management positions in the IT sector in Italy.

From 2000 she has been employed in Akhela (ICT company) holding significant experience and competence in the strategic marketing with the following tasks: scouting and identification of new technology areas and creating and extending the network of partnerships and collaborations with other companies and customers.

In particular, she cooperates with the R&D department, to align research programs to overall business strategy, and as such, possesses a broad working knowledge in the areas of business development, and research & development. Throughout her career, she has been involved in the development of new products and technologies in the area of cyber security and in the field of smart systems, smart cities, smart grid and complex systems in general.

Laura Zazzara is a sought after public speaker and has often been asked to speak on issues relating to the cyber security and smart cities.
